On Sunday 7 April 2019, the 103rd Tour of Flanders will kick off again in Antwerp, for the third consecutive year. The race starts at 10:30 a.m., and the riders must cover a 267-km route, crossing the finish line in Oudenaarde’s Minderbroedersstraat for the 8th year running.
Anna van der Breggen won the 15th Tour of Flanders after a fantastic solo. After the race, the Olympic champion was very happy: "I died ten times in the final phase." She adds a big victory to her already impressive honors list. Jolien D'Hoore had to be happy with a 12th place. The Belgian champion hadn't enough power left on the Oude Kwaremont. Sofie De Vuyst surprised with a 16th place and goes with a lot of courage towards the Ardennes classics.
Anna van der Breggen won the 15th Tour of Flanders for Elite Women. The Dutchwoman attacked on the Kruisberg and started a strong solo on the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg towards her first Tour of Flanders victory. The podium was totally coloured orange with van der Breggen's teammate Amy Pieters on the second place and Annemiek Van Vleuten (Mitchelton-Scott) on place three.
