Flanders Classics and Çois Cycling Legacy, producer of clothing for on and off the bike, join forces. Together they release an exclusive clothing line linked to the Tour of Flanders. The collection includes T-shirts and sweaters for young and old.
Çois Cycling, the brand named after late pro rider and sports director François Cools, has been providing cycling lovers’ apparel for a while. In collaboration with Flanders Classics, organizer of the Tour of Flanders, they now release a casual clothing line which focusses on the greatest of the Flemish spring classics.
Tom Cools, founder of Çois Cycling and grandson of François: “I have been wanting to launch a tribute collection to the Tour of Flanders for a while and I find it a tremendous honour to collaborate in this project. To me, the Tour of Flanders is not only Flanders’ Finest, it is one of the finest one-day races in the world. A mythical race, whose epic passages of the Muur van Geraardsbergen, the Oude Kwaremont and the Koppenberg always bring about a mix of drama and happiness. And the fan experience along the course, it is really unique!”
During production, much attention is given to sustainability. Tom Cools: “We find it important to work as sustainable as possible. For instance, the entire collection is made of organic cotton and the items are produced under the best working conditions. All our products carry the right ethical labels. In the sales process as well, we aim to burden the environment as little as possible. The bags in which we send clients their order, for example, are fully compostable.”
The items can be purchased on www.coiscycling.com and in some of the Çois retailers.
