The Tour of Flanders is a race nobody wants to miss out on. That's no different in 2018. All WorldTour teams will be present for the 102nd Ronde, the second one between Antwerp and Oudenaarde, and will send their strongest teams without a doubt. Earlier this week we were rejoiced by the news of Kwiatkowski (Sky) and Nibali (Bahrain-Merida) coming to the Ronde.
The remaining 7 'seats' were very expensive. A lot of teams presented themselves as candidate to participate, which made the choice even more difficult. The lucky teams are coming from three different countries in the end: Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
The Belgian teams that have aquired the privilege to start are: Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise, Wanty Group-Gobert, Veranda's Willems-Crelan and WB Aqua Protect Veranclassic. Also the French teams Cofidis and Vital Concept will be there. Finally the remaining spot goes to the orange shirts of Team Roompot, making the list of 24 participating teams complete.
