2017 was an amzing year for Michal Kwiatkowski, winning in Milan-San Remo and Strade Bianche and finishing in the top 3 in Amstel Gold Race and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. The choice of not participating in the Ronde last year was justified. This year, fans actually CAN look forward to the Polish rider coming. "I was just missing cobbles", says the Team Sky rider on the website of his team.
"The Classics for me are pure racing and Tour of Flanders is just an amazing race. I was already able to compete to the absolute finale in 2016, only one week after winning in E3 Harelbeke. I believe I have the ability to fight for the victory. Whatever happens there, together with my teammates, whoever is going to be there, we are able to be there as favourites and future winners. That’s why I want to be a part of it."
