Torhout will be 'Dorp van de Ronde' in 2012

Flanders Classics, the organization behind the Tour of Flanders has chosen Torhout as 'Dorp van de Ronde 2012' (Village of the Tour of Flanders 2012).

Karel Van Wijnendaele

Torhout is the hometown of Karel Van Wijnendaele, the founder of the Tour of Flanders. In 2012 it will be 100 years since Karel and serveral other journalists founded Sportwereld.
